Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began when she was 14 years old. Along with BJJ, she also trained in boxing, wrestling and kickboxing. At age 18, she made her debut as an amateur at WCFC. Ladd became more confident after this win and won 3 fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents all fell in the 1st round. She then returned to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen had already defeated Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking the fight to Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was superior to Aspen in the fight, beating her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's record as an amateur was affected. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen made her debut with Invicta FC in 2015 to start her journey as a pro. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, where she dominated her, securing a first-round TKO. Invicta 16 saw her go up to Bantamweight after winning her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen utilized her superior wrestling skills to beat McGill in the third round of a TKO. Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) as a "catchweight"(138.1lb) as Ladd failed to make the weight. Aspen, however, defeated Hoy with a TKO. At Invicta FC21, she was the final match for the company. Invicta FC21, she defeated Sijara Banks by unanimous decision. Her UFC debut took place in UFC Fight Night 118 when she faced Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina, and ground-and - beat her to an TKO win in the second round. Her next fight, against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229, her victory was even more impressive. Ladd took on Evinger by a punch in the initial round, and was awarded the Performance of the Night bonus. Invicta FC's Sijara Ebanks was her opponent in a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her first big fight. The two fights were a close fight that Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. Both fighters were awarded the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie only needed 16 seconds to stop Ladd and her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in the third at UFC 7 on ESPN. In her recent fight for the UFC she took on Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a replacement fight. She lost by unanimous decision.
